Struggling with new painting
As I stated in my first message, I need to paint more. I hope to gradually get more dissiplined and get more paintings completed. I have actually been painting but have had a couple of failures so didn't have anything to post. I finally decided I need more planning on this painting so I did a 5" x 7" sketch to work out the the depth problems and get the colors worked out better. I am starting to experiment with acrylic so it is my plan to get this scene done in acrylic soon. But first I have a painting that has been in the works since the first of the year so will be working on that, a Black-backed woodpecker.

Morning Light, watercolor
Well, I have to say that I have not been too diligent on the blog front. It has been almost two years since I started this blog and true to form, I did not produce any new art so the blog has been dormant. I must report that the blue jay painting has been sold. I am now renewing my plan to paint regularly and at this point I hope to paint a painting a week.
This week I completed a painting of the Oregon Coast using a picture that my niece took some weeks ago on her morning commute. This painting is for sale unframed for $250. It measures 11 x 15.
