A New Begining
This is a new day for me. I’m taking the plunge and starting a blog. It is my belief that a blog is a living organism and must be fed. You might say this blog is my new boss.
I have been painting since 1980 and have painted and sold several hundred paintings over the years. I got serious in 1986 and enrolled in Massachusetts College of Art, Graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. There have been a lot of distractions since 1990 and although I have continued to paint, I have not done much in the past two years. I was derailed by cancer but all is well now and I seem to be on the mend so I crave a new direction. It is my goal to paint five days a week so I am hoping that this blog will create the necessity for me to accomplish this because you, the art lover will want to see more art.
I begin by “hanging” my first painting in my new virtual gallery. This is a Blue Jay, found extensively east of the Mississippi. Fall is a great time of year in the east with the vibrant oranges and reds and Blue Jays join together in small flocks and noisily frolic in the change foliage creating a great contrast of complimentary colors.
Thank you for viewing my art and please continue to visit as new paintings are “hung”
